Corona While fortunately the measures regarding the corona crisis are becoming more flexible again, this is by no means the case in Sri Lanka. There is a complete lockdown. The result is dramatic and almost physically painful: people are not allowed to take to the streets. That means people cannot go to work. No work is no income. No income is no food. The famine is now life threatening. The messages from the Fathers OMI are alarming.

If you have recently visited our site, you may have noticed that we now mainly focus on providing emergency aid in the form of food packages. The most necessary foods such as lentils, dried fish, soy, rice, flour, dahl and milk powder are distributed. We do not do this alone. In collaboration with our Dutch partner Rockids, not to forget with Wilde Ganzen, who doubles our donations, we do what we can. We do this through the Caritas organization, led by Father Anton. From your donation, this organization buys food parcels and distributes them to the poorest and most needy.
We may not need to ask you, but we do it anyway: if you can afford to miss an amount, no matter how small, will you help us meet the greatest need? Small amounts also count, especially if Wilde Ganzen doubles them.

Unfortunately, due to the Corona crisis, all other planned projects have come to a halt.

Anna's home

Still good news, we are pleased to announce that the house with shower and toilet facilities for the security guard / handyman of Anna's home has been built and is now in use. The house was officially opened and blessed last week. Click here for more photos. All are very happy with it!

The computer room in Anna's home is currently being renovated and the computers will be installed.

Father Provincial

The current Father Provincial will soon fulfil a function elsewhere. We look forward to a good and fruitful cooperation with the new Father Provincial to be appointed.
