A REQUEST FOR THE ST.JOSEPH’S PRE-SCHOOL ITEMS.

SUPPORTING INFORMATION.

St.Joseph’s Nursery school which is at Nilaveli in Trincomalee was started in 1995 in order to help the poor and the needy children of this area. Over the time the number of children has grow up to about 50 in number. These children are a multi religion composition of Hindus, Muslims, and Christians. The parents of these children are relatively poor and mostly live below the poverty level as farmers, fishermen etc...

Thus this Nursery becomes the center for all the children around this area where they can gain their basic education.

Though the significance of the nursery is such, still it doesn’t have the basic facilities to provide a better education for the children, for instance it doesn’t have cupboards, racks, whiteboards, toys, swings, sea saw, met slid, etc…

I, Rev. Fr. Gnanapragasam omi, the Parish Priest and the coordinator of this nursery has been trying to work out several plans to equip this nursery, specially to see that the Tsunami affected (directly or  indirectly)  children are helped and guided properly. Thus I would hopefully look up to your cooperation and generous help to achieve the above mentioned targets.
